How to get here

On foot

follow the main shopping pedestrian route of King St / Queen St and take the turning for Halkett Place which is by New Look. Central Market is approximately 50 metres form this junction on the right. For the Fish Market, continue to follow the perimeter of Central Market on to Beresford St then cross over at the zebra crossing to reach the market on the other side of the road.

Cycling

There are two bike racks along Beresford St, one is immediately outside Central Market on the corner, the other is just after the zebra crossing. There is also another one on Minden Place near the northern entrance to the Fish Market.

Bus

All of the main routes terminate at Liberation Bus Station so from there head to wards the Pomme d’Or Hotel which is adjacent and head down Conway St which runs alongside the left hand side of the hotel. Follow this road until it crosses the main shopping thorughfare of King St which is just after Coffee Republic. Head right up King St until you see New Look then turn left on to Halkett Place. Central Market is approximately 50 metres form this junction on the right. For the Fish Market, continue to follow the perimeter of Central Market on to Beresford St then cross over at the zebra crossing to reach the market on the other side of the road. There are also two routes which run on a loop through the town centre and stops right outside the Markets. These are the number 20 (Townlink) and 24.

Car

The closest car park is Minden Place, however, this is very busy. Pier Road always has spaces although it is up a slight hill. Sand St (3 hours max or the price increases dramatically as this is a short stay car park)) or Green St (can also be busy) are alternative options and in 2024 there are an additional 135 shopper spaces being created at Ann Place.
